What's Cookin' Girls

My cousin Chy came into town for the holidays and I enjoyed hanging out with her SO much it wasn't even funny!! She has this FANTASTIC blog called "What's Cookin' Girls" and it had some amazing recipes- my favorites are the Creamy White Chili and Homemade Oreo's- Yup, you heard me right- Homemade OREOS! They are Awesome! So just for her I made this fun little recipe book for her to put all those amazing ideas in! You have to check out her blog and see what I'm talkin' 'bout! It ROCKS! Wowza!!

So I haven't been hangin' around the Blogs lately. Nor have I been creating that much for that matter. But I did get a burst of Inspiration the other night when my kids had been especially naughty and I took a "mommy time out" I dropped the kids off with my mom and headed over to my local craft store for some die cutting. If you buy their products you can use their dies for free.. Therefore, I spent a little (very little) money on some mat board and got to work. When I got back to my Crafting Space I had lots to go on and put together a fun book to preserve my families memories of our summer activities in.

We had gone Camping earlier this summer and I found the perfect paper to use.. But instead of doing the "typical" scrapbook I just had to do it my way- just a little different!! (Kinda sounds like me too!)

Oh and since I've been out of it for sooooo long, I'd LOVE to hear from my patient blog friends-

Little Birdies Swap

I joined a swap for Valentine's Day cards and this is what I came up with.. I wanted something simple and a little different. I paper pieced the Birds and ran the card stock and patterned paper through my machine with the new SU Bigz Die.. I'm excited to see what I'll get back

Recipe Book for Tiffany

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE to bake.. I also love to keep my favorite recipes in a special place away from my not so favorite recipes. I made me one of these cute recipe books awhile ago and Ive been slowly but surely adding my favorites in.. This Recipe book was made for a special friends birthday that we are getting together tomorrow to celebrate. I'm not a fan of shopping but I am a fan of giving a little of myself in something I've hand made for someone special.. So this is for my friend Tiff- Happy Birthday Girl!!

Happy New Year Friends!! I know it's been forever since you've heard from me.. Yes, I am still here, I've just been otherwise occupied. Namely with ALL things TWILIGHT.. I am one of THOSE Fans.. I've been living in my Twilight world for some time now and I haven't felt the need to stamp or create at all..
I did get this wonderful die cut from my best friend for Christmas and then went and splurged on a few new sets to try and amp up my mojo..
I've seen lots of cute, cute things being done with the new SU dies and so I just couldn't help myself..
I hope I can stay on top of blogging and creating this year.. I know I've been a complete Slacker! I appreciate all of you who are getting this update- having not given up on me and unsubscribed.. Love to you all in this new year!

Oh Mummy!

Birthday Card Book

I don't remember where I got the idea, but some incredibly talented stamper out there came up with this fabulous idea for a Birthday card book using 12x12 double sided paper folded and bound using the BIA.. This is one of many that I have made, I love how easy it is and it comes together so quick!!

Eye Candy

I still absolutely LOVE this color combo. I'm not sure what it is that makes it so yummy, It just is!! Just so you all know my MOJO is MIA. If you see it, please return it promptly. I am in desperate need of finding it..
This is a card I cased off a card that I cased off someone who's name I don't remember.. Sorry!
I did change the layout up a little bit and added the extra strip of paper at the bottom. I also used the "poppin' pastels" technique on the heart.. I think I'm going to use this in an upcoming techniques class.. Thanks for hanging in with me,

Celebrate with Cake

This is from yet another retired set that I didn't get my hands on soon enough, I've always loved it.. I'm not sure how I'll survive giving it back to it's owner, but isn't it great! I was super happy with how it came out, I think I sat down to just play and had no intentions of making anything but a mess. I was thrilled with it (does it sound like I'm tootin' my own horn here, or what!!??)

Two posts in ONE day!!

What are the chances?? Anywho, I did Taylor's Cupcake Challenge today, I was totally inspired by some ribbon I was organizing and wanted to use this cute set again. I also have a little boy in mind who's Birthday is coming up and thought this would be PERFECT!

Sweet Baby

A friend just had her sweet little girl this week so I wanted to make a card for her.. I can't wait to see her, her big sister is just absolutely darling and I'm sure she will be too! I couldn't resist using my new "All in the Family" set and just got started from there.. Here are a few pictures of my new stamp space. In the last 2 houses we have lived in I have been blessed to have a very large stamping room. However in our new place that is somewhat smaller (thank goodness-big houses are hard to clean) I have what I would compare to a walk in closet, and since it's just off the master bedroom that name could really apply. It's quite small, but since I just got some new shelving yesterday I've been miraculously able to make it ALL work, and I think I like this space the BEST! I'm going to get me a mat for the floor and a little swivel chair and then I'll be able to just turn and grab whatever I need.. I'm really VERY happy with it and lately have just been finding myself in here just sitting. Maybe its for the quiet or maybe just cuz I like it so much.. Hugs,
