Birthday Blog Candy Love

Wow, say that 10 times fast!! Okay, so yesterday was my 29Th birthday and I had a super great day. After meeting up with my sister and best friends for breakfast we headed out to the outlet mall to shop a little, then I went home and took a 3 hour nap, then my sister took the kids and me and hubby went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant and then to the movies. I had a super great day!! So I've also had some of these cute things waiting and waiting to be given to some deserving and loyal blog friend. All you have to do to win these is just leave a comment. I appreciate all the comments and sweet words so many of you leave. Okay so I know that I haven't been posting regularly lately, so I've come to the conclusion that I'm at least going to post once a week at least. I've got to set a goal somewhere!
This "friend" word book was cut using a Pazzle and pale plum cs. I stamped it using baroque motifs and close to cocoa ink. I used chocolate chip cs to back and sponged the edges to give some more definition to the letters. I also adhered some flower gems from the Target $1 spot and tied it with retired SU ribbon.
I tried taking the picture outside today using Beate's tips but I think my choice of placement was off, the background is really white though it looks blue..

CKC- Kansas City Scrapbook Convention

Guess what girls!! I'm going to the Kansas City Scrapbook Convention on October 19-20!! I'm so super excited and I hope that if your going to be there that you will stop by and say hello to me! Spooooktacular!

Here is another file folder book! This one is down right spooky! I've had tons of fun making this this one and I can't wait to get some super spooky pictures to put in it. I absolutely LOVE my new Booglie Eyes set and I've been using it every chance I get..

Call me Capt'n!!!

In honor of my new pirate name, I decided I had to make one of these adorable file folder tag books with a pirate theme. I super distressed my paper, and inked and inked and inked and I think I achieved the look I wanted. I would still like to add alittle something more to some of the tags but Im so thrilled with the over all look of it! I used crystal effects on the treasure box and sail of the ship and jumbo eyelets on the ends.. Arrrrr!
