Spring Fun

I made this for the SCS Challenge SC120. I still haven't figured out how the challenges go because I get the Newsletter and it always seems like the challenges are for the past week. So if you know how it works drop me a line and let me know. Anyway
I liked the layout and I wanted to give it a try. This is my first challenge ever and I think it turned out okay.
I used some of my new SU DSP from the promotion stack. Boy is that paper fun and hard to cut if you know what I mean. I used the butterfly from "reason to smile", I've been putting off getting this hostess set for about a year now and when I did get it I wasn't sure if I wanted to mount it up. But I did and I'm glad because it is such a fun little set.

Diaries of a Preschool Stamper

Today Bailey broke her way into Stamping. She loves to draw pictures and write notes. Especially to Grandma who is very far away. She made herself at home at my stamping table and got to work.
She was very carefull as she used my adhesive to make sure she got it just right.
This is the front view, she added some punched out flowrs and alittle of her own artwork. I drew the little pumpkin and she added eye accents and legs. She cracks me up so much with her creativity. You can't send grandma a note without saying "I love you", the artwork on the left says just that, (if you ask her!) Then of course she drew a picture for grandma.. Lucky grandma!
Then to finish off her morning, she kicked back with a drink of milk!! She makes me laugh so much, I feel so blessed to be her mom and get to share these special moments.

Welcome Little one!

This is for the newest addition to our family. My sis in law gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Wed. I wanted to make something special just for the occasion and all in pink. She weighed 7lbs. 8oz. and her name is Angelina. We are so excited!!

Minnie Day

Happy "Minnie" Birthday! This card was made for a friends little girl. They just love Minnie Mouse and her birthday theme is just that. They are going for the traditional Red/Black with Polka dots. So I used Polka Dots and Petals, black white and Red ink and CS. I embossed "happy" and "birthday" and just added lots and lots of layers! I hope they like it :)

Heart Doodle

I just can't manage to put this set back on the shelf. This card is a 3x6, I used light orchid ribbon and a 1/4" square punch and nipped the fold so that I could wrap the ribbon around. I stamped the paisley in orchid opulence, and stamped the old olive background. I used my blender pen to color the main image added a few layers of CS and then added a few brads to balance it off.

I'm so excited about having my new blog and to see so many people visiting it. I would like to have more links of other great blogs to share. If you would like; post a comment and leave me a link to your blog so I can check it out! Thanks for checking in :)

Oodles of Doodles

So do you recognize the layout and colors? If you do that means you've been frequenting the SU Demo website and seen it there. Yup, I cased it! But I did do my own design with the stamping. I loved the colors together and the layout that I just had to do something with it. It's soooo much fun. Well if you don't already know the stamp set is Double Line Doodles, due out in July with the new Catty. I used Temp. Turquoise, Old Olive, Real Red and More Mustard Ink and CS. I used the direct to paper technique on the WW of the main image just to give it some "uumph".

Double Line Doodle {Case}

So this is the first time I've actually used this set since Houston Reginals. I've seen so many wonderful cards and ideas but I keep putting them off thinking when we get closer to the new Catty Release I will do more with it. Well today did it for me, I was searching through Favorite Blogs and saw a gorgeous card by Kyla Maestas~Sweet Water Designs and I figured I just HAD to do something!!
I've been in sort of a "rut" lately since my move from Houston Tx. to Georgia, so I figured I would make this for a dear friend back home. I was totally inspired by Kyla's card, but changed it up a bit to accomodate the supplies I have on hand. I absolutely LOVE the whole idea of Kyla's card!

I've been Tagged!

I got tagged by Ana W. Aka Inkastamp! Wow, what can I say? She Inspires me to think outside the little box that my brain gets stuck in. I check her blog DAILY and I just can't ever seem to get enough of her fresh trendy ideas. Thanks Ana!!
So now I guess I need to pick a blog to share. Well we all know Inkastamp so I guess we can't run in circles, so here is another amazing blog that I like to frequent!

Sweet Water Designs-Kyla Maestas, as you can see from my last post I love to frequent her blog. She has great ideas to share..

All about the Office

This was an idea presented at Houston Reginals and I just HAD to make one or two for myself. This is my daughter Baileys File Folder Scrapbook. It was super fun and super simple to make. I used Dots and Dashes DSP, BB Cardstock and Ink. I used Whimsical Alphabet to Ink her name, Circle punches to make them POP and finished it off with some Apple Grosgrain Ribbon.

Striking Toile

This is such a beautiful set and I had been wanting it ever since I saw it on my Uplines endless stack of Retired Sets. I think of my sister everytime I see it so I made it with her in mind. The contrast between the Red and Vanilla is so STRIKING! I just love it! I used real red and very vanilla CS. The Stamp set used is called Tender Toile, I also used the ticket corner punch and layered, layered, layered.

I have so many Friends and Family members that are expecting Babies, So I've started gearing up for all of them. This super FUN card I made for a my friends upcoming baby boy and can easily be changed for a Girl. I used SU! Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana Cardstock, and Simply Circles Brass template to dry emboss circle on the front of the card. I used a paperclip with some Blue gingham to top it off and Stamped it with "Baby" at the bottom. The Stamp sets I used are "I'm Here", and "All Year Cheer II".

I wanted to make a cute and simple Birthday card for my Nephew's upcoming Birthday. I hope they like it. I used SU! Eat Cake Stamp Set, Gable Green, Taken with Teal, Tempting Turquoise, and only orange cardstock and ink. I finished off by adding some orange and green gingham ribbon and Stickles on the candles.
